The fest will celebrate next year 17 years.<\/p>\n<p>For this edition Macabro is adding two new awards: <strong>Macabro Animation Award for animated shortfilms <\/strong>and the<strong> Macabro Press Award<\/strong>. Macabro will also give the stablished awards: <strong>Macabro for International Horror Long Feature Film, Macabro Sapphire Award for Latin American Horror Long Feature Film, Macabro Jade Award for Best Mexican Short Film, Macabro Onix Award for Best international Short Film, Macabro Ghost Award for Best Picture selected by the Macabro Audience. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submission will be avaliable from November 30, 2017 on Filmfreeway.com with closing deadlinte on March 31st, 2018. The seventeenth edition of Macabro will take place in August, 2018 in it\u2019s traditional venues in Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>Guidelines are available at Macabro\u2019s official website: <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.macabro.mx\/en\/\">www.macabro.mx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Macabro is the first genre film festival in Mexico and the second in Latin America.
